  • It’s an RSS reader with smartphone and desktop versions that sync
  • Has the ability to publish to other platforms
    • Integrates with Twitter, etc.
      • Tyler renames blogs in Feedly with the creator’s Twitter handle so that when it is shared, the attribution is there.
  • Tyler uses it to curate all the publications he reads
    • Can create folders to organize:
      • Business, online marketing, social media, tech news, sports, etc.
  • Removes the need to follow a ton of blogs

About Pocket:

  • Allows you to save web content that you want access to later
    • Saved articles are viewable offline
  • Integrates with other apps
    • Can share things from Pocket to Evernote, Facebook, email, etc.
      • Can even add article to Pocket directly from Feedly
  • Has a desktop extension for Chrome

About Evernote:

  • Tyler uses this app as his “digital brain”
  • One-stop app for storing info:
    • Can collect info, pictures, etc.
    • Can create folders, documents, etc.
    • Tyler uses it for all his podcast notes
  • Easy searchable function
    • You can add tags that are also easily searchable

About Microsoft Outlook for iOS:

  • Tyler’s favorite e-mail app
  • Can integrate gmail accounts
  • Tyler’s number one reason for preferring it over other email applications: You can access your calendars directly from the app
    • Perfect for when you need to email your availability
      • It integrates with your calendar so that you can add your available times into emails from the app without opening other apps
  • It’s simplified: only two tabs
    • Focused Inbox: determined as “important”

About Freckle:

  • Friendly online time tracking software
  • The web-based interface is fantastic:
    • Can view reports
    • Can edit any time entries
  • The iPhone app is super simple:
    • With one click you can turn the timer on and off.
      • Whether tracking a meeting with a client or a phone call with another client
  • Can start a timer on one device and stop it on another

About Google Calendar:

  • Tyler’s favorite calendar app
    • Detects key words to give you a visual of what your schedule will look like
    • Detects airline emails (from gmail) and automatically add your flight to the calendar
